The Litvinenko Project is a show devised by 2Magpies Theatre which explores the poisoning of Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko in London in 2006.

Litvinenko was poisoned with radioactive polonium, slipped into his tea on November 1st 2006, and despite numerous theories, nobody has been charged.

2Magpies wondered why this was, and began The Litvinenko Project in November 2013 to mark the 7th anniversary of his death.

Since the beginning of the project, an inquiry into Litvinenko's death has been announced and has been ongoing , with the show evolving over time.

The Litvinenko Project is a theatrical tea party which walks through November 1st 2006, and every cup of tea which Alexander Litvinenko drank that day.

The show is performed in cafe spaces and aims to keep the memory of Alexander Litvinenko alive through conversation and interrogation.
